Hmm, snopes is kinda odd on this one

They first say false, then they take you down a road about Roosevelt.

THEN you scroll down and they say a story was misleading but then actually it does say he flew on a seperate flight but states another reason why. Then it says that the dog has flown with the family. Hmmm. Still now sure how much we can believe snopes.
