I need a break!!!

Post by MissSwitzerland »

We got to spend Friday night/Saturday morning in the hospital - AGAIN! My son was in a car accident Friday evening. He was run off the road by a truck, struck a guardrail, shot across the road, went airborne through trees and landed at the base of a tree at the bottom of a ravine. The truck kept on going, by the way. He had to climb out of the car and up the hill to get to the road. He finally got a motorcycle to stop and help him. He'll be fine -- staples in his head, cuts and abrasions on his face and a severely sprained ankle -- thank GOD!! It could have been much worse. His car only had liability on it, so he's out a vehicle. Since the truck didn't stop, they cited him for failure to control. They cited him for not wearing a seatbelt, which he swears he was wearing. And the dumbarse forgot to renew his tags, so they cited him for driving a non-registered vehicle. He went to work today because of all the time off he had with his heart issues a couple of months ago. He's extremely lucky. This could have been a fatal accident. His dad walked down into the woods where he wrecked and said that the trees were broken off about 6 feet up, so he was sailing for awhile. If his wife (who is six months pregnant) or their son would have been with him, I'm confident they would have either been severely injured or killed. :(

I'm done! I don't think I can handle any more! :((

The sermon at church yesterday was "What Jesus Said About Worry"! I almost walked out!! #-o

Thanks. He really shouldn't have gone in to work today but he knew that if he didn't he probably wouldn't have a job. And since he has a wife, a two year old and a baby on the way, he knew he couldn't take that chance!

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.

SOunds like a miracle to me... Be thankful even in the times it feels like you are being targeted. (PS remind me of this when it happens to me as it will to all of us at some point)...

Hope get gets better and glad to hear no one was with him...

Sounds like you do need a break! Thank God he is okay and no one was with him.....sometimes it helps to take a step back and count your blessings ( he will be okay, and no one in the car with him.... all else is only material). You all are in our thoughts and prayers (not just now but always)! Sometimes the best Sunday mass to sit back and regroup in a quiet cove on Lake Cumberland! And when you are there, make sure you call us!

If it helps remember my Shawn's incident......I am now proud to say it made him a more responsible better person!

He saw the car for the first time on Monday evening. It really shook him up. Now he's got all of the "what ifs" in his head. He asked me how he got out alive or without serious injuries. I told him he already knew that answer and needed to be doing some major thanking and soul searching!

I have to stay out of the back lot for now because that's where the car is. All of the "what ifs" are still swimming around in my head too!

Give your kids hugs for me and tell them that I love them, even if I don't know them.

So sorry to hear of this. Thank God he is OK. You all will be OK. Take deep breaths and count your blessings (like the new little one on the way). Hang in there and know you and yours are in many thoughts and prayers. (And come on here and vent....does the soul wonders.)
