Marinas
Hello everyone, I just bought a 27 foot cabin cruiser last year and had an incredibly hard time trying to find the right place to dock my boat. I searched everywhere online and couldn't get any real user feedback. Since I had a history at building websites I decided to build a central place for everyone to post their experiences and comments on marinas. It includes maps, pricing, amenities, and detailed reviews.
The site has over 7,000 marinas and I'm trying to get the word out to fellow boaters so we can all efficiently share information with each other. The site is http://www.MarinaRatings.com and I would be honored for you to stop by and review or add your marina. Your help would benefit all the boaters out there looking for real information on places to dock their boat. As an added incentive, I'm giving away a free Yamaha Waverunner to one lucky review poster drawn at random as part of our launch. If you weren't going to post a review before, hopefully you will now!
Thanks, and have an amazing boating season!
- Founder, http://www.MarinaRatings.com
p.s. I welcome all comments and suggestions for the site as well, so don't hesitate to reach out to me or reply to this thread - I'll be back

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me. - Location: Kentucky (Lake Cumberland)

Re: Marinas
Welcome! I did a review for ya the other day... I think any site that helps us a boaters is good... Glad to see one that ties things together for when any of us decide to test the waters elsewhere. Even if just for the heck of it.

Re: Marinas
Hopefully you can convince Dolphin, DJ, and some of the others to do a State Dock at Lake Cumberland review for you. _____ is lazy but maybe he could give some Cave Springs feedback. You have Alligator 1 on there and it is no longer there as a dock. It moved down stread past Alligator II and became Cave Springs. However the Alligator I site has come decent Cabins still at the old site (just no real docks)
LC, How about a Jamestown review???? :-X
PS, Allow people to add images or even add to a Album of the Marinas you have, especially if you do not have any photo at all.

Re: Marinas
F U E Cave Springs is still too new to give an accurate review. LOVED the old Gator One........ New location, new owners. Lots of kinks to still be worked out so I'll refrain from giving my take on it thus far as I want to give them a chance to get it right.E_HILLMAN wrote: _____ is lazy

Re: Marinas
Holy crap! Put me in the same class with ___ 'cause I wouldn't rate GHD at this point either. While some are giving rave reviews (based on comparison with the last a$$hole owner) the jury is still out as far as we are concerned. Too many kinks and issues unresolved yet, IMHO.

Re: Marinas
You could give a review stating that...
I really think that seems to be a great site... Hopefully other places will put their info in as well. I would like to go to some of the sandy lakes in Georgia and Alabama once they fill back up...

Re: Marinas
I figured you or he did not need one. Just figured you would love to spread the word about your great Marina. PS I don't get anything from their site. Just felt it was a great site to get some info for Marinas.

Re: Marinas
Hey guys, it's me again. Any honest reviews help all of us fellow boaters try to figure out the best marinas around town. Imagine a newbie to Cumberland looking for some genuine feedback. That's exactly where I was last summer and was utterly confused. Any honest feedback (with maybe a different username than you use here?) would greatly benefit other boaters and would ALSO hold the marinas accountable for any wrongdoings to any one customer that may go unnoticed unless sites like MarinaRatings helped share everyone's thoughts/opinions. Ahhh, the wonders of the Internet. Thanks for all the support!!

Re: Marinas
Hey can you fix the State dock listing?
I used the one that was there at
http://www.marinaratings.com/marina_lis ... wn&marina=
I used:
http://www.marinaratings.com/marina_detail/3675/ for my review but really the one that the Rooster commented on has a more correct name etc.

Re: Marinas
Well, the Doc said yesterday, out for FOUR more weeks... I should get some lake time in during this... As for my hot rod, it has so much torque I probably will have to leave it parked...E_HILLMAN wrote:Dang dude, can't you dock and drive one handed? I think your shoulder needs some LC time.
