The 2014-2015 Winter Season Weather Chat Room lol

Post by E_ »

Normally I LOVE snow but I have to admit with the new commute starting this week 75 miles each way I have been crossing fingers to not get any other than on the weekend. lol

Looked like our friends to the north of my area has seen some though in the past few days. This morning it was only a dusting and no issues for me.

E. That is a commute. I thought 50 miles was bad and moved to get it down to 22. Good luck with it!

It thus far seems to allow me to be more calm than the old one that was 23 miles. The new one though 3 times longer in distance actually only takes about 1/8th longer than the other one a lot of the time. And the way I setup my schedule with the new position I am getting home as early and sometimes earlier than before. Just starting the day about 30 minutes earlier in the morning.

...now to find a cheap commuter car.

Are you kidding me!!!!! E, you are a big man like me and there is no way you want to spend 2 hrs a day in a tiny little cavalier! you better start looking for bigger cars like the Impala, Taurus, and Charger!

Find you a gas saver yet 'E'? How's the new job coming along?

The transfer case just went out in my 97 Dodge! :( It has 280k on it.
So, if you know where on is located, let me know. Has to late 96 or 97 auto trans. only! Thanks

In the big city of Leesburg snow was between 12 and 16" by last night. Around lunch I shoveled about 8" off the driveway and then another 3 or 4 around 7pm or so. (by the time I was done before I put down the salt there was another 1/8th inch where I started. I would guess about 2" or more were eaten by salt. Now over at the farm where they normally get quite a bit more snow they I think only got about 9" total. Louisville I would guess most places around 5"?

Over around St Matthews it doesn't appear to be as bad as your house. Of course they have been seeing that all over the state. My Parents are only 7 miles north of me and got about 6 or 7" less.

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.
