Yes I agree, I thought by now someone from GRL would have joined in. We have only had one season there and have only met a few people, we will see how it goes this season.
Its a very nice lake, we are enjoying being there.

I'd like to hear more and see some activity from there as one day I would like to trailer up that way and spend a weekend on it sometime.

E here is a little information that I have about GRL.
Green River Lake State Park opened in 1969 and contains 1,331 acres of land along with the 8,200-acre lake.
The State park has an 18-hole miniature golf course, hiking trails, a beach, picnic area, and a playground.

There is a campground also:

The Green River marina (State dock) has a restaurant, boat slips, and rentals for different types of boats. The lake abounds in bass, bluegill, catfish, and crappie. And floating cabins for rent.

There are 3 total marinas on the lake which are Emerald isle, Green river marina (state dock) and Holmes Bend marina
I don't know a lot about Emerald Isle we have not been there often.

Holmes bend marina:

We rented a 3 bedroom cabin there in August 2012, it was very nice.
The Corps of Engineers also have a campground at Holmes Bend.

I do not know of any sponsered activities at the marina's such as bands and Poker runs.
They may have them at the GRL marina state dock I really do not know. I do believe they
may have a fireworks show on July 4th at Green River marina.

Your welcome. I hope you are able to visit the lake some time, it is very nice. We usually go during the weekdays and it is not very crowded at all. Have also been on the weekends and have found the area
from GRL marina to Holmes bend area much less crowded.
