CIRCUS!?! That don't even come close.... can't wait to see the news tonite! L-)

While Blagojevich has signed formal appointment papers, White has not, and Senate rules require that signature. Burris, in turn, has gone to court hoping to win an order for White to sign the necessary paperwork, and he has also threatened to sue to take his seat in the Senate.

8-| What an idiot, he thinks his crooked gov knows more about the workings of the senate??? :-s
SUE, SUE 'EM I TELL YOU!

Some of Burris' supporters have bemoaned the fact that Democrats would stand in the way of the Senate gaining its only black member. :-o :-o :-o Burris himself downplayed the issue of race, telling reporters: "I cannot control my supporters. heee heee heee, where have we heard this recently??? I have never in my life, in all my years of being elected to office, thought anything about race." :ymsigh: :-? And you're how old??? 71??

Oh my, me thinks me smells something... and it ain't jeffie ;) (could be CHANGE from all of those tax dollars going out for the law suit!)

I will have to say in respect to Barrack Obama.... he WILL have the biggest hurdles to overcome, Iraq won't take up half of the time this other BS is gonna take... :(

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Illinois House voted overwhelmingly Friday to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich, an unprecedented action that sets up a Senate trial on whether he should be thrown out for abuse of power, including allegations that he tried to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat.

Impeachment required just 60 votes. The final result was 114-1. :-o :-o :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Legislators accused the second-term Democratic governor of letting down the people of Illinois by letting ego and ambition drive his decisions.

"It's our duty to clean up the mess and stop the freak show that's become Illinois government," said Rep. Jack D. Franks, a Democrat. :ymcowboy:
