Happy New Year! Thread
Soo, what are you all planning on doing tomorrow? The wife and I plan to head to Richmond KY to hang with some friends.
Everyone PLEASE be safe! I have made my share of dumb moves after parties but tomorrow are plans are to stay where we play. It just ain't worth it anymore and I ain't gotta worry about my parents checking to see if I am home at the time they set any more... LOL

This is the first year in a long time we'll be staying home. Going to dinner early, then to Mass and home. Just going to have some delicious spiced wine I make and serve warm. Then try to stay awake until 12:01!
John and I wish you all a safe, happy, healthy and blessed New Year.

If all goes well, I'll have a couple of Patron Margaritas here at the house and be in bed by 9:30 or 10:00, you all can tell me what happened at midnight, OK?

Just who are you going to see in Richmond? I know you were invited to a party in Richmond and if you don't show now that I know you're going to be in town it's on. I also have something I need to give you so what time should I look for you?E_HILLMAN wrote:Soo, what are you all planning on doing tomorrow? I will be right up the road from you... They are my wife's friends that I have become friends with as well. Also I think Dirty Sanchez and Lexcomman might show up. I thought I was invited to something last week, I did not realize you meant this week as well...
I don't know the exact house but I will be somewhere right about here around all the college kids... LOL 37.729629,-84.328587
Maybe I could head down your way before the adult beverage consumption begins...

Went to dinner, now home about to go to bed. Tonite is not for the seasoned drinkers like myself, it's about the wanna-be's, so I'm staying home where I'm safe from the rookies!
Be safe "see" ya next year.

Then I gotta git back up 'cause I fergot to change into a nightie! Sheesh!re3too wrote:This is the first year in a long time we'll be staying home. Going to dinner early, then to Mass and home. I was in bed by 11:30 and rudely awakened by fireworks (or gunfire, I live in the hood) at 12:15am. I guess I should have just stayed up, gotten drunk, and felt like crap all day today like everyone else. Nope, I made the right choice.

Re: Happy New Year! Thread
I know it's a little late but Happy New Year everyone.
Unfortunately we were missing our friends this year, which includes JLA! We always have a good time enjoying good friends and good food but it wasn't to be this year.
The wife and I were at the lake all by ourselves but we had a nice evening. We ate a late dinner (Beautiful T-Bone steaks) watched a movie, then watched the Ball drop and all that stuff then were in bed buy about 12:30.
Let's hope 2009 is a prosperous year for all!
Cheers

Re: Happy New Year! Thread
Yep, we spent a week in the Great White North and I now remember why I moved away from there! ARGH! We drove through everything except a Tornado and a Hurricane!
I actually took a 2 week Hiatus from Computers in General (Except when I had to fix the Mother-In-Laws) because I really spend about 6 or 7 days a week infront of one of these things for work and sometimes you just need to walk away. I honestly didn't turn my computer on from December 18th until December 31st. It was actually nice!
We spent last week at the Condo at Woodson Bend and had a real nice relaxing time. We missed our friends being down but we had a good time anyway.
It's nice to be missed!
