That bothers me less than that the AD to buy USA is for a Italian Company. Burns my bottom every time to think they got bail out money and then once they go on their feet sold out to Fiat. Somone told me the RAM brand remained US but I have not been able to verify that...
Just like Obummers state of the union speech, he spoke about how well Chrysler and GM did but never once mentioned Ford who pulled themselves up by the boot straps on their own.

And for that, I have rewarded them, when the Gubment bailed out GM and Dodge, I had a 4 door dually Dodge/Cummins and an Escalade in the driveway along with a Chrysler 300 that my wife won. I now have a Ford F250 and a Lincoln MKX SUV. We have kept the 300 and I drive it to work daily and the Gubment reimburses me for most miles driven in it.
Hows that for putting your money where your mouth is........................

Seems an appropriate place to film it to me since New Orleans was totally rebuilt by taxpayers too.Sunset Lady wrote:http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/det ... 21036.html

I don't know why I would have thought an ad about Detroit would have actually been
filmed there
E I agree with you about Ford, I have 3 Ford's sitting in my driveway.

I guess I'm the lone standout on this ad, I think it was a great way to get people to start thinking more about american made, no matter where it was filmed at. I also don't see the connection to Obama in the ad either. The bailout was automatic and not a surprise to me-- Michigan has ALOT of pull, and the state has been going to hell in a handbasket.
I've never owned a foreign car, and I'm never gonna be able to find an American scooter, they are all made in Europe or Asia and a few are assembled here. I hate it, I've been looking and looking. I guess I'll start researching and digging around for a good used golf cart, made in the USA.

I thought so too E, but I found out that they are designed and assembled in Chicago, but all their parts are made in China. A few parts made outside the USA is one thing, but ALL of them? I was told I might as well buy one of the real cheapos I see online for 700-800.00, 6 month warranty, after that, fix it yourself with this video and parts will be available, blah blah blah. Mechanics willing to work on these foreign p.o.s. are few if any. Otherwise, pay 2000.00+++ and get the 2 yr. warranty, with a handful of willing mechanics within legit dealerships, and we'll stick any logo you might like on there. Or, just pay 3000.00+++ and we'll sell you a Vespa. Still cheaper than most good used gas golfcarts, wtf-ever....
I'm still pondering.....
