Ok then. E, this is your playground, and you are welcome to it. It's true, I have posted twice, and my second post seemed to hit a nerve with you, Sparechange, and RE3. I wasn't slamming this site, I was making an observation; lots of sour grapes about treatment on the other site. Is that the reason for this sites' existance?
To be truthful, this site is not what I thought it was, when I registered. What you have, amounts to a soapbox for Sparechange and his political views. Say what you will, but very seldom does anyone reply. Spare, your jokes are funny from time to time, keep them coming.
There are 4-5 members, who have been banned from the other site, who post somewhat regularly, but their posts seem to wind around to the reasons they were banned. Really, why should you care? You have found a new home, Right?
RE3, you may have been treated badly at some point, I don't know. I do know that if I were as upset as you seem to be about it, I would not go back. Life is too short, to be so unhappy.
Having said all that, I will be calling it quits after 3 posts. One must move on. I wish you all good luck and godspeed, but above all, be careful on the waters that we all love!

Well, Well, Ray glad you stopped in to critique our little fun zone. You should loosen up a bit and enjoy life. Or is your style of relaxation towing cars that park on the street next to your home? I guess it takes all kinds to make this little world go round. Have a nice day.

I pass on information that is in the news and has a impact on our lives. Kinda like the OPEC thread started yesterday over there. as for a reply, do you call and make a comment to the news paper? Just posting information.wolfcreekray wrote:Ok then. E, this is your playground, and you are welcome to it. I want to say this again. E does not allow what just happened and I got ripped for it. Please tell me when you have seen anything of this nature before, you can't so as you stated this is NOT why we are here.
Barb was treated terrible, That person has no business being in power with his untactful replies. Everybody has an opinion, and many times it won't be as you want. But it is non the less thier opinion and should be respected. Until you can understand that you should stand aside and let someone else control it.

Re: locked down
It indeed did hit a nerve because it was waaay off base. This is not a anti other site site. Sure as of late some members of this site have had an issue with some at the other one but they were first and foremost members of the other site as well and that is where the problem was... It just happened that this site caught some of the overflow.wolfcreekray wrote:Ok then. E, this is your playground, and you are welcome to it. This site is what it is... We have a LOT of Lake Cumberland Information and if someone wanted the could only create a shortcut to that part of the forum http://lakecumberlandboaters.com/forum/ ... m.php?f=64wolfcreekray wrote: Sparechange, and RE3. The reason for this site was NOT because of issues at another site but it was to replace a site we had previously that shut down. We all gather together as Lake Cumberland Boaters but we don't just talk about the lake. That is what this site is. People with the common bond of Lake Cumberland (or the lake area which includes Dale Hollow etc) that get together to talk about the lake but WE ALSO talk about everything else that interests us. Cumberline and Captain Bob did not like lots of chit chat on the other site. We respect them and the site for that and understand it is not the place to talk about EVERYTHING we want to talk about so we do so here and still join in on other conversations there. If you read the thread I linked previously you would know that already. We don't take people from that site but instead we actually refer them to it.
We are fine with $pare's soap box. And anyone else's soap box as long as it adheres to the few rules we have on this site. As $pare stated his earlier thread stepped out of those guidelines. That is between $pare and myself and we have discussed it. You just have to understand this is a Lake Cumberland BOATERS site. It is for boaters of the lake to talk about whatever. It is not a true lake site. The name is just about its common bond.wolfcreekray wrote: To be truthful, this site is not what I thought it was, when I registered. Re: locked down
I agree, good answer E. I do not boat on Lake Cumberland, I go to some of the smaller lakes in our area. I enjoy learning about Lake Cumberland and think it is a beautiful lake. I am glad that I can come here and discuss other things happening in the world and laugh at the jokes and other things that are posted. I feel like part of the lake community even though its not Lake Cumberland that I go to. Thanks for a great forum E.
Re: locked down
NOT DIRECTED TO ANYONE SPECIFIC - BUT TO ALL WHO READ THIS.
E is the most dedicated person I know to lake cumberland (maybe second to LC Addict & re3too). A true ambassador to KY actually. (E, you ready to be mayor? )
This site has provided me many hours of entertainment and not always about Lake Cumberland.... If you want to be part of it, we welcome everyone (hey, $pare is here, lol ) j/k oney
Thank you E for providing this lil playground so we can all get to know each other.

Re: locked down
I'm not going to be giving E any sloppy kisses anytime soon, but hanging with you guys on this site is something that I look forward to everyday. I can't respond on the weekends because of my satelite dish internet or so the fart smellers(E & JP) tell me but I chime in from work when I can. I still look at LC.com at night from my super secret IP that they haven't blocked yet and I enjoy that site for much different reasons than I enjoy this one. I am also a member of a forum for recovering ex-serial killers and I enjoy the company of those folks also. Hope you all have a great day.

Re: locked down
PHONE REPAIR Lawrence , Kansas, December 12, 2009.
A Kansas farm wife called the local phone company to report her telephone
failed to ring when her friends called - and that on the few occasions, when
it did ring, her dog always moaned right before the phone rang.
The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this psychic
dog or senile lady. He climbed a telephone pole, hooked in his test set, and
dialed the subscriber's house.
The phone didn't ring right away, but then the dog moaned and the telephone
began to ring.
Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:
1 . The dog was tied to the telephone system's ground wire with a steel chain
and collar.
2. The wire connection to the ground rod was loose.
3. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current when the number was
called.
4. After a couple of jolts, the dog would start moaning and then urinate.
5. The wet ground would complete the circuit, thus causing the phone to ring.
Which demonstrates that some problems CAN be fixed by
pissing and moaning.
Thought you'd like to know.
