What if.....

Post by re3too »

Have a theoretical question...not trying to be a smart a$$, for once! :-o Really would like yor input....

What if you had a tiff with someone and were tired of the drama? What if you decided to offer an olive branch, stated you would no longer do the things that had irritated that person in the past and then offered genuine good wishes to them? What if that person totally ignored that offer and did not acknowledge it in any way? How would you feel and what would you do?

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.

I would be pretty enraged but I would still try to take the higher road. However even though taking the higher road I would keep proof of it if proof was possible and anyone that asked I sure would show it to them.

I had this happen to me once (it was October 2008)

I would say that person is at the lake with no or very little internet connectivity and may not be able to respond right away. Give it a few days and see. ;)

I would feel like I had done everything to make things right . If the person doesn't respond, then it would be time to move on. They may come around eventually.

I have found it to be easier if you hide on a bridge or an overhang when you want to kill someone. :ymhug:

Let me make a few points here.
1) Don't start a thread with BS. You are a smart a$$! :-o
2) You should have offered an olive in a martina glass. B-)
3) "no longer do irritable things" You can't do it. LOL! :ymdevil:
4) they ignored you because you unfriended the post police. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! =))

If they did it to me, I would hunt them down and squash them like the bugs they are!!!. :ymcowboy:

They say time heals. Could be a very long time. I have heard of people not having anything to do with each other for years and then something happens and everything is right again. I would try to continue doing the best you can, not doing whatever you feel was the originally the issue. When the time for reconcilation appears, go for it with open arms with only a tiny bit of caution in case it is not real. As I used to tell the kids, it ain't goin' to get all better overnight. :ymhug: :ymhug:

People sometimes do or say things without a clear understanding. And then, sometimes they are otherwise distracted and simply fail to communicate at all. That is, of course, no excuse but all of us experience these situations.

Theoretically speaking, things can (and do) change.. You never know what tomorrow will bring and things that irritate you today may be gone tomorrow.

Enjoy every day to the fullest --and don't let others ruin your otherwise beautiful day.

I lied.....not completely done with it! :ymsigh: What if you do get a response and it is totally off the wall and seems like the person never even heard a word you said? Especially when you have bent over backwards (and forwards) to extend an olive branch? I know...just let it go. :ymsigh: :ymsigh:

Ignore it. I know it's hard to do but in due time more and more people will realize who's in the wrong and you've done whatever you can to ease the problems. I knew a guy in college that was an arrogant a$$ all the time. After a while he realized he had no friends, no respect and no one to turn to in times of need. He turned out to be a pretty d@mn good guy after he made his own realizations.

And no, I'm not talking about Rodney. =)) =)) =))

To me that would mean they are incapable of even having a proper conversation with on the subject so I would be time to give up. However I would still refer to my earlier post. lol

Wow, what did $pare do to you to make you this mad at him? =))
