Parking was GREAT!!!! Actually it was nice seeing the park and surrounding area ALIVE again. Boat trailers sitting around. Dozens and dozens of people on the banks fishing. Picnics going on everywhere. Looked like days past. And yes we had a AWESOME day fishing. Ended up catching 54 and that's all I'll say about that. Come find out for yourself.
Was it worrying me the most and I know the KDFWR is well aware of it. But ALL of the fish we caught were absolutely bursting with eggs. I know they are scared to death of that dam(tongue in cheek) but I AM BEGGING the powers that be to PLEASE draw the lake down at a semi-slow pace. These fish are spawning and with the new cover they just found they are going crazy! Unless you want to kill this entire spawn please please please draw it down slow enough for these eggs to hatch and find deeper water.

Oh and for those of you familiar with the area. You could easily make it all the way past oil center and it was still 9' deep at the end of Ringgold Rd.

Did you go down that far? We took the kids down there to play and skip some rocks last spring.rockinrod7 wrote:Oh and for those of you familiar with the area. You could easily make it all the way past oil center and it was still 9' deep at the end of Ringgold Rd.

Knowing Rodney, he probably drove down to Oil Center and jumped in to see how deep it was.E_HILLMAN wrote:No he just guessed at the depth...

Stopped at Lees Ford yesterday and drank a couple of beers and some 'locals' were talking about water returning to PC Park. Did notice water levels near Ringgold...most Ive seen for a while.
Ok so it was a few more than 2 beers
