So what did You Think ???
1. Great weather for the show
2. what, 4 Manufactures showing Boats, How many are Now Left ?
A. Stardust
B. Sharp Boy's
C. Horizon, Ray can Endure for several Years Yet !
D. Thoroughbred
Great comments, Good show by all the company's with new boats on display
How many of you subscribe to Houseboat Magazine ??? and Pay a subscription ?
Heck, I have not thought the Magazine was worth my time or $$$ for over 10 years Now
But I and others keep getting issues that say, Last Issue, Please subscribe ??? they Need a major Update of Material. and Personnel
None of them Know anything about Houseboats. and If they do they are some type of Yuppie Liberal Idiot that can not relate to Real Mid West Boaters
Just my Opinion , what do You think ???
and talk about people in the marina, State Dock customers being Pissed ??? 20.00 per person admisson fee to get in to buy from the concessionaires that were Paying to Be there ???
and to buy food from the dock restaurant ? that was the biggest gripe, especially from the cruiser People that could care less about the House boat expo
Like many said, it sure was good for the Lure Lodge Restaurant Business !!
Ohhhh, welll what a great weekend on the Cumberland !
and good to see You Bubbles

OK, here is the one thing that bugs me about State Dock a little.
When they have a special event, you cannot get in to the food vendors without paying admission for whatever is going on. For instance, during the blues fest, I really wanted to get some of Fat Man's BBQ, as it is not until the winter when I am free to drive over to Burnside to get it in his restaurant. I really was not interested in the band and had no plans to hang out at all.
Same with this houseboat expo. If you wanted to pull up to get lunch, you had to pay the "cover". Again, I really had no interest in seeing the houseboat show myself, but the food vendors were in behind the velvet rope area.
Seems like the food vendor could maybe be on an outside table where they could sell to folks without them having to "get in".
Just me whining.
Next time I will have to call raptorlvr to sneak me a plate out over the velvet rope!

- Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.
Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me. - Location: Kentucky (Lake Cumberland)

Re: National Houseboat show, Great Bands
If I were a slip customer on the dock and had to PAY to get to the normal eatery on the dock I would be pretty annoyed as well. I sure hope Mr. Jasper figures this one out and gets the logistics corrected. There are two windows... Maybe instead of placing at one and picking up at the other during things like this they put a block between them and one side is for slip customers that do not care about the show or whatever is going on and they can still get to food and the other is for those that are participating on whatever event is happening.
Buy American, the job you save just might be your own.
