Somerset Bypass
I have been seeing this huge construction project going on east of fishing creek for a while now and I know its the somerset bypass but I can find ANY information on it online...
Where is it going to start from and where is it going to end. I have seen it on cumberland parkway and its going to be one serious road!
Anyone have any info on this???

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me. - Location: Kentucky (Lake Cumberland)

Re: Somerset Bypass
It starts clear around on the 914 (90) bypass and goes all the way around over the parkway and back to US27 to my knowledge.

Here is a old story on it from last year that kinda shows what i drew in green is wrong as it seems they want to close part of the current parkway and then extend I66 thru...

There's already a heck of an interchange completed for it at 27 north of town.E_HILLMAN wrote:Here is a old story on it from last year that kinda shows what i drew in green is wrong as it seems they want to close part of the current parkway and then extend I66 thru...

Dollars to doughnuts they screw it up by putting in too many stoplights and interchanges. A few years from now, all the businesses move out there. The problem worsens. End result: bypass no longer expedient. These planners never learn.

I got the same tongue lashing from a guy at work when I mentioned how if they had any brains, they would have made 461 a four lane the whole way down.
