Re: Wow
I bet they would feel differently if all the Buckeyes that keep their boats in KY actually followed the law and paid their taxes where the boat is moored/kept.
Keyboards should be equipped with breathalyzers

Re: Wow
Until they actually start looking in the storage units it won't happen.

Re: Wow
yikes! I can understand a little possesiveness of the area, but do they realize how much revenue comes in just from food, fuel, etc?
It was like that tho when we lived in Wisc. Went up to Door County to stay in a cabin, and the neighbor actually came out into the street to check out our plates, said he was just making sure we were not from Illinois What the hell would he have done if we were??
NUTZ OUT THERE I TELL YA!

Re: Wow
Hate to admit it but I was once a Buckeye! Thank goodness I saw the light and was saved! That being said.....as residents of OH with a boat in the water and stuff in the shed, we registered and paid KY taxes. Didn't like it but that was the law..... Until it's changed, think it should be enforced. JMHO!E_HILLMAN wrote:Boy that would be nice for the state and local funds...

Re: Wow....Jared is on OhioNavy.com
The devil made me do it!
Jared is on OhioNavy.com!
Lake Cumberland is my second home. It's second to none for my family and closest friends having a great time and, spending money in the Kentucky economy. I even pay higher prices at the marinas for some supplies. Wally World and Lowes sees me almost every trip. They don't have Krystal Chicks in my part of Ohio (mmmm, chili cheese pups). Much of the trash I have seen on the lake in years past isn't coming from Ohio. And shame on all boaters that polute Lake Cumberland.
I feel sorry for Jared, really. From his Facebook pics, I can see he is young and hasn't been in the world enough to see the big picture.
Ditto on the taxes and, the enforcement!

I wonder why just Ohio. What about TN, IN, and IL. I see boats from everywhere. He is just a dumb young pup. Wait till he gets older and aquires enough stuff to pay taxes on, then he might change his tune.
