Rob
Used to do a a fair amount of it when we lived in South Texas. I had some Nitrous fed mustangs and a quick Buick GN and I never won more than $50 at a time but saw some $500 races that were insane. We had several quarter miles marked off around the city and were in locations that negated any kind of interference from innocent motorists especially in the early AM hours we typically raced. You're right it was fun!
Did a little of it around home here when we came home on vacation but no one ever wanted to race for cash. I guess the Texas tags worried most folks! We'll have to share some good "war" stories next time we are in the same place at the same time!
