First thought was wow are those props for a ship.

...then since I was in Lexington, home of Big a$$ Fans I wondered could they big big fans? Look awful sturdy for fans but there were big motors with them...

They are paper pulp beaters... Changed a few in my younger days.... Or at least that what they appear to be from the picture....

Ship propellers. The motors just happen to be on there probably for a split load.
