Finally arrived. Total of 18 hours. Got lucky and had the row all to myself. Slept half the trip.

Steve? They got really strange food here. The eggs have pink yokes, even the hard boiled ones. No pork, chiken sausage, turkey beacon, and lots O stuff I have never heard of.

They do taste a little differant, but still tasty.

Good lunch today. Lamb kabobs with flat bread, cheese and fresh mint leaves. Pretty tasty.

Lunch today was pizza a friend brought me. Wasen't to bad, but it was unidetifiable stuff on top. Tonight was camel burger. Could not tell the differance between that and beef. Tomorrow out to the desert for Dubai night, supposed to be the way of the old days. Belly dancers, camel rides and dinner. Should be interesting.

OK, here is the deal. Tonight I was supposed to go to a party in the desert, old fashion cooking and entertainment and camel rides in the desert. But now I don't get to go, WHY? BECAUSE IT'S FOCKING RAINING IN THE DESERT!!!!!!!!!!! No rain for a month, and it decides to rain tonight! OH well, Maybe I can still find a camel to ride on Fri. I have not given up yet.

I did finally get home about 2 hours late.but yes, I am home. Head wind all the way home,took 15 hours. Sat in Washington for 7 hours. It was a really good trip. Now I have to talk Kate into going with me to Germany in March. She's not real keen on outside the US travel. I really like Germany, been there 4 or 5 times. i really like the food.

OK.... I have looked all over the board and can't figure out how to "down-size" the pics jeffie took in Dubai... they came out huge when posted... if you can tell me where to find this info, I'll get some posted.

Katie the best way is to used a image resizer and resize all of them at once:

One of these should work depending on if you are 32 or 64 bit...

Install it and once it is installed you should be able to select the pictures you want and then right click on them to resize them to one of the presets (800x600) aka "medium"

If you leave it at defaults it will make copies with some text added after the filename.


OR

you can upload them to www.photobucket.com and just select a size like 800x600 when you upload them and just paste the links here. That allows you to upload multiple ones at a time and it resizes for you.
