After several hours of deliberation, a Louisville jury found Karen Sypher guilty on all six counts she faced from the government. If you’re keeping track at home, that’s three counts of exortion, two counts of lying to the FBI, one count of retaliation and more oral coersion than you ever thought possible. She will now be sentenced in the next 60 days and will face 26 incarcerated years that will, most likely, not be so different than the previous 50 free ones she enjoyed on the outside. In a few regards, at least.

Maybe she can find someone to give her more than 15 seconds of love in the pokey. Or should I have said more pokey than 15 seconds..........

Karen Sypher Found GUILTY of extortion. Pitino celebrates but only for 15 seconds.

A lawyer friend was in the courtroom and sent me this text:

"Sypher asked the Judge for a motion ..and then fell in love.

When she asked if she could approach the Bench, the judge told her she'd have to use a table.

Then, Sypher wanted to poll the jurors but the Judge didn't allow it.

Her attorney had earlier (before the verdict) invited all of the jurors out for a quick lunch at a local Italian restaurant."

IMHO, In the end, she got just what was coming to her...
