d@mn dude, why not put down all the women of the world while you're at it...

Even if so,does that make it right? Should she have gone to congress with this ridiculous story?

___, I don't know what you are smoking but I was not putting them down I was saying that is what many would do. Maybe you assumed I mean about the technical aspect because you instantly thought about women being dumb or something... /:)

However even on the technical end...

Have you ever had a bad stick of the gas pedal? I did once on a 29 year old 67 Chevy and it was not fun... I even turned the key off and it kept dieseling... And I can tell you turning the key off was not the first thing that came to my mind. After the "Oh $h1t" feeling and the panic to steer and try to find a safe path and since hitting the brakes did not really do any good (I never got to 100 mph or nothing like that) I finally after what seemed like eternity turned the key off and it clank banged for a good bit before it shut down.

And you can show your wife, or my wife or any woman I work with my post. Because they will get where I was going with it... They will know what I mean about believing they would call their husbands. They think on a WHOLE different level then us guys. There is a lot more caring and feeling there than we have... They really would think of something like that above all else sometimes.

..and if you don't get that I'm sorry you have not gotten to work with as many women as I have and that you are still stuck in the ignorance I was in a year ago...

Whatever Lock 8-| =;

Relax my diesel is drive my wire and it scares the crap out of me to think what would happen if a diesel with all that torque decided to accelerate in traffic and the key did not kill that fuel pump.

You work with a bunch of women for a yr and suddenly you're an expert??? You need much more schooling than that Daniel son.
At age 20 I was manager for least that many females(for 4 yrs) at a large retail store. And to this day, I can't figure them out completely. It was fun trying though. :D

I did not mean I knew all, but I do understand a lot more. I have not been a manager sitting somewhere for the past year (I have done that before) (and how many did you manage?) I have been a admin working with them every moment of every day for 12 months. Where I was not in a authoritative role but instead became more like one of them (I already had man boobs lol) and got to hear (and will not repeat) all the things they talk about when guys are not around. Its been wonderful and I will miss them as I head back to my Project Management Lead role here in a few weeks. All of that plus growing up with 3 sisters does give me some insight some guys just don't have...

LOL, Did anyone else notice it was Rooster of all of us trying to keep up on topic? =)) I better say something about gas pedals...

Ummm. uhhh I think electronic pedals should be outlawed. Sometimes you just can't do better than a mechanical connection. For example I was looking into a electrical box at a building I am helping get up and running and there in this super high tech electric room was a box that had a mechanical timer with metal gears and a face plate that would match something from the 40s but new instead of a digital readout and a circuit board... Sure my old truck had a pedal issue but I was able to jerk the pedal back up and get home and I knew what the issue was in no time after popping the hood. And it was my own fault for tromping a part that at the time was close to twice my age. And it was a easy fix. I think this is the tip of the iceberg...

???? you not makin any sense...
I run all day for them and love it but when I get home I need to chill for a bit. The techs I deal with the most ask me all the time how I "deal" with them and I tell them its not a issue and I love it but I do have to try to blow some stuff up when I get home and maybe do some four wheeling to shake some of the estrogen off. lol

I am leaving because my old department that I like less made me a offer I can't refuse.

anyway

You freaking attacked me from the get go trying to say I was taking a hit at women when all I was talking about was that I have indeed heard many talk about doing things like what the woman did that day by calling her husband...

:)) :)) re3too, you gotta understand jeffie's thinkin and them boys can take lessons, lol!

Acutally, E & ___ are both on target...

Many men will not teach their wives what to do in emergencies, they want to remain the "know it all" or they think their wives will never need anything more than a flat tire fixed, or just don't have the patience.

Many women count on their man in an emergency to be the one to handle the situation because they have never been taught they can take care of things. Some just need that boost of confidence. This situation is unlike any other I have known.

Now I am not holding up for this woman, I did not hear the testimony or read any news about it, but I'm betting this just totally scared the $HIT right outta her and panic does cause a brain warp. Maybe she knew she was in such deep doo doo and wanted to say goodbye, who knows for sure. Maybe the husband was on speed dial and it was easy to get to. I would not want to take my eyes off the road if this happened. FEAR will make you do things you can't justify.

To both ___ & E, you boys have had a valuable lesson working directly with women!!!! Women do talk. About everything under the sun if you will listen to them. ;)

I am motivated to say all kinds of $h1t here because ___ your demeanor just irritates me. B-)
I actually heard part of the testimony, and after reading some posts here I searched out more. There are several discrepancies in the posts here. She attempted to stop the car as many posters suggested, but after being unable to stop she called her husband. Interestingly, when I heard her say that I thought that is exactly what I would do. Because my man is one smart M F'r. Because I have been with him since I was a teenager, I know a couple of things about cars, dealing with problems and being prepared. If all that failed I would, without a doubt call him.

AND...I guarantee none of ya'll know half as much as you think you do about women. BUT...E has a BIG head start by growing up with three sisters. I am bettin his chick reaps the benefit of that ALL the time. ___, your vibe tells me you have something to prove. Just FYI...It is rarely necessary to "manage" women. We are motivated by entirely different things than men. A smart supervisor realizes that and will always get the best from their coworkers.
xoxoxo ;;)

She probably had a phone with voice recognition and a bluetooth head set, so at all times she had both hands on the wheel!!!

Hmmmmmm...I called her a doofus in the "other" thread and that was probably unfair of me. I guess I said that because calling my husband just would not occur to ME at that point. Now I would definitely call him afterwards and have him bring me some clean clothes! :D 8-|

Guess my point is that none of us really know how someone will react in certain situations whether they are male or female. I made a judgment call about someone else without having the facts. My bad.. :( We could all argue this til the cows come home and never have agreement. We might be another step closer to the White House...wait, that's anotheer topic! 8-|
