Who has taken it, and has it ever made you sick? Wife gets sick everytime she takes it. They say that's impossible but I see it first hand. She has avoided taking it the past few yrs but it was mandatory this yr. Being an ER nurse makes it a little difficult to side step it. Anyway, she took it Sat. and today she is laid up in bed sicker than she has been in yrs.

This happen to anyone else. I have never taken it so I really don't know first hand. I just hope I don't get what she has. :ymsick:

I have not had any more than some soreness but this year I got it and 3 weeks later got the flu so... lol that the heck.

Did she get a shot or the mist. The mist CAN cause a reaction for sure.

I haven't taken it in years, but my wife is also a nurse and she was required to take it or wear a mask all day, so she took it and she did get a little sick from it. I think LC is a nurse and she is sick right now?

My husband andI have gotten the seasonal flu shot for about 10 years and neither one of us has had a reaction nor have we contracted the flu. In 1976 (I think) we were both in education and were required to take a swine flu shot (live virus). Husband had no reaction but I got a mild case almost immediately.I have great reservations about the H1N1 shot.

I nursed 3 kids thank you very much! :))

And no, I don't work for the bad guys you silly man! I work with people who have legitimate work injuries and their claims are approved and I make sure they are getting appropriate care and coordinate medically necessary services.....I aint no workers comp police =)) (I typically get the good guys with the bad injuries)

Now back to this flu shot....I had one once, and only b/c my mom was immunosupressed. I got sicker than I have ever ever been in my life and swore I'd never do it again. Unfortunetly I now have the flu, but can say I am not half as sick as I was when I took that shot!

Well now I have it. Not sure if it's just a cold yet. No fever and not feeling horrible yet, but bad enough. :(
