We got to spend Friday night/Saturday morning in the hospital - AGAIN! My son was in a car accident Friday evening. He was run off the road by a truck, struck a guardrail, shot across the road, went airborne through trees and landed at the base of a tree at the bottom of a ravine. The truck kept on going, by the way. He had to climb out of the car and up the hill to get to the road. He finally got a motorcycle to stop and help him. He'll be fine -- staples in his head, cuts and abrasions on his face and a severely sprained ankle -- thank GOD!! It could have been much worse. His car only had liability on it, so he's out a vehicle. Since the truck didn't stop, they cited him for failure to control. They cited him for not wearing a seatbelt, which he swears he was wearing. And the dumbarse forgot to renew his tags, so they cited him for driving a non-registered vehicle. He went to work today because of all the time off he had with his heart issues a couple of months ago. He's extremely lucky. This could have been a fatal accident. His dad walked down into the woods where he wrecked and said that the trees were broken off about 6 feet up, so he was sailing for awhile. If his wife (who is six months pregnant) or their son would have been with him, I'm confident they would have either been severely injured or killed.
I'm done! I don't think I can handle any more!
The sermon at church yesterday was "What Jesus Said About Worry"! I almost walked out!!
