FLU.... getting concerned.

Post by katie »

I have my "right-hand" gal here at work out now with confirmed FLU (not pig tho...) my "left-hand" gal (my shipper) out sick today trying to get it.... and my receiver just starting her first chemo today for breast cancer (defenses will be way low). Today and tomorrow for sure, I will be doing all of these jobs (of course just putting out fires) but am getting very concerned about the situation. :-s :-ss

Anyone else having problems with the flu in the workplace? I think I have been complacent about this but I can feel the knock on my head and someone saying HELLO, anyone picking up in there....
Even a broken clock is right twice a day ;)

I usually wait until we get to FL to get our seasonal flu shots but something prompted me to get ours last week. Now parts of KY are reporting shortages. As far as the piggy flu goes......back in the '70's when we were both in education, we were required to get the swine flu vaccine so we may have some immunity. I'm not real keen on getting the current vaccine because of the rush job. If our Dr. in FL recommends it, he's gonna have to do a real selling job for me! I'm a firm believer in seasonal shots (not had flu in 16 yrs) but not this piggy one!

Is sure hope we don't have to deal with it this year. One employee got sick last year and refused to stay home................I ended up sick too. [-(

We don't have enough employees for anyone to get sick. If they do then I can't take my vacations. :D :D :D

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.
