Lindsey Wilson College first baseman Kelly McCarty of Louisville, KY, displays the ball she hit for a first-inning grand-slam off Campbellsville (KY) University’s Allison Horton. McCarty’s only home run of the tournament proved to be the difference as the Blue Raiders beat the Tigers 7-4 Saturday night at Lindsey Wilson Park to win the Mid-South Conference softball tournament and earned the program’s first berth to the NAIA national tournament.

And they are off! They head out to Nationals tomorrow morning!!! And yes, I will be there, despite the new job!!!!! Wish us luck! I'll post if there is a way to keep up online (even if you dont want to just humor me!) If not I'll post the outcomes...if you dont hear from me I am either really happy or really sad!!!
