Fins are looking pretty d@mn good. Right now I'm missing Tony Dungy.
The wildcat is hurting the colts. Indy's defense is having a helluva time stopping it.

Well it was not purty, but a win is a win. We only had the ball for 15 min. It's kinda like golf, you can go in the woods, hit a shot, hit a skull shot it rolls up and putt it in. Was not purty, but the score was a par. Faster and I can relate to this!

SpareChange:
As a season ticket holder since '88, and as someone who was in Miami for the '06 SuperBowl, may I suggest to you that I could care less if they go 16-0. At this point, I am hoping for the following:
a.) no more injuries, but especially no more injuries to the defensive secondary
b.) home field advantage throughout the playoffs (which automatically carries with it a 1st round bye)
c) NOT to meet San Diego in the playoffs. No one else really scares me, (although I would acknowledge that old NFL axiom that on "any given Sunday" -that is especially true in the playoffs ....but San Diego seems to have had our number the last few years (as an aside, I was also IN SAN DIEGO when Vinetari missed that last second FG in the rain to win it - sssssuuuucccccckked!)
d.) for them NOT to rest players that last week or two. I am less sure about this one but the last few times we have had this opportunity, we have come out and a laid big large dark one. Ready to switch it up.
This team is deeper (or at least was before all these injuries) than any Colts team I've seen. (and I said that when the season started) We have OL who started whole seasons being disactivated. We have LBs and DL who have started a lot of games for us on the bench. We DID (as has now been proven) have a deep secondary, but now we have no room for error. Brown needs to be healthy and at full strength for the playoffs for us to be at peak performance. Garcon needs to continue to develop. And it would be nice if Gijon Robinson would have a postseason ala Zack Crockett in '95. The hidden benefit of being so deep is that our special teams are better (because we have better, more veteran players, on special teams.
In short, allow me to sum it up this way: GO COLTS!!!

p.s. Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is season tickets!!!!

btw: if you want season tix, you can get them. Get on the list. I believe they went through the list at least once this past off-season. My buddy who sits next to me got called a few times. What they do is if you don't want the tix they are offering, you stay on the list and they go to the next person.
Of course, part of the issue is price. Our two (2) season tix were $5,500+ this past season. Add in babysitter and parking (not even food and beverage) and we were paying $6K a season. For a variety of reasons, I had to let my brother-in-law have them this season (still in my name though). And we will have to let him have them next season as well.
BUT, you can get season tix for much cheaper. I would suggest anything at the 400 level or lower is a decent seat. Friends season tickets got moved from Dome to 600 level in the Luke and they were disappointed. They have moved down now.

10 in a row. It has been pretty scary the last 2 games. But a win is a win. They need to get thier crap together because you can't win on luck forever.

The way it looks right now, it would be New Orleans v. Indy. Two undefeated teams.
I'd like to see that. Each team dominate their conference all season long and play in the super bowl.

To me Peyton Manning looked like he was totally pi$$ed off. I know if I had paid money to watch the Colts play I would have been totally angry and would have demanded my money back. You go to watch your team and players play not sit on the bench. That is the only way to change it is to have all the ticket holders demand reparation for that terrible display of sportsmanship. A friend of ours plays for the Colts and I will anxious to here what he has to say about it.

I think if they had announced early on, "Hey, we're resting the starters whether we are up or down after halftime," people would have been ok. But to not tell the fans, to let us expect that it was possible, then to jerk them, was .... no class.
One of the arguments was that they didn't want to tip their hat to the Jets. Well, why not? By pulling starters, you are admitting that winning is not the most important thing, so at least let your fans know. You know....the guy who is shilling out $520 PER GAME for 2 tickets!
My Ky math tells me that instead of paying $260 per ticket for my seats, that if I add in the two preseason games that they make you pay for, and this game, the cost of the ticket goes to $371 PER TICKET PER GAME.
Again, not saying have to play the starters, but you should at least alert your fans because winning is off the table.

Again, don't mind if we lose at this point. And I ASSUME starters won't play much; so, don't really care about this Sunday's game. Issue was, if you were going to "throw the game" (not in a gambler's sense, but you know) then just alert the fans so they know whether they want to attend or give away their tickets. It wasn't the LOSS that irked me as much as it was the lack of disclosure.

Re: COLTS

I say it's BS! I would demand my money back if it were a home game. I hate to say this but I hope they lose in the first round of the playoffs. If they are going to do that they don't deserve to win another game. If you're an athlete you want to compete and win. Of course I have said it many times over, professional sports are not sports or athletics any more. It is "entertainment". Having said that, losing a game because you don't play your best players is not entertainment.

Islander bite your tongue (about the playoffs)! I don't agree either about how they played it out, personally I think Polian was just holding out till the Saints lost and pull that record off one more game.. unfortunately, that meant their "resting" games had to start at home (
). I know it's all business for them, but for the fans, it is "entertainment" and just like the "dogs" in Washington DC, they seem to forget who put them on the map and keeps them there!
I do hope they win the playoffs and everyone stays healthy, but laying out of the ballgame is in my opinion not the way to do it. I feel the players would prefer to play the game. A guy can get soft (
) setting out. Then going in with all your might can get you hurt!

What I meant by that lose in the first round rant would hopefully prove to managment and the coaching staff that their strategy and philosophy does not work and they go back to playing to win every game. I cannot wait to talk to Jacob Tamme #84 for the Colts to get his take on the situation.

I did see that, He was pi$$ed off for sure. I don't blame him. He is a competitor and does not want to miss one play or lose one game. I respect and like him a lot for that. While I am a Bengals fan as they were the only pro team close to us when I was growing up I do also pull for the Colts and the Titans as they are close the Bengals are still the closest to us. Jacob Tamme #84 for the Colts is from our home town and went to the same High School that I did. I was a couple of grades behind his dad at High School and played football with him.
Have a great New Years and look forward to hanging with you again soon.
