HOME SALES TAX

Post by Nervous Wreck »

Not sure if this has been posted already, but worth posting again.

When did your home become part of your health care? After 2012! Your vote counts big time in 2012, make sure you and all your friends and family clean the white house. It is critical.

HOME SALES TAX
I thought you might find this interesting, -- maybe even SICKENING! The National Association of Realtors is all over this and working to get it repealed, -- before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many realtors do you think will vote Democratic in 2012? Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in the health care bill, -- and it goes into effect in 2013. Why 2013? Could it be so that it doesn't come to light until after the 2012 elections? So, this is ‘change you can believe in’? Under the new health care bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% sales tax. If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. This bill is set to screw the retiring generation, -- who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November, 2012 vote more important? Oh, you weren't aware that this was in the ObamaCare bill? Guess what; you aren't alone! There are more than a few members of Congress that weren't aware of it either. You can check this out for yourself at:

You know, I heard something about this but did not hear that it had been passed in the health care bill!!! What a crooked-a$$ trick to pull off!! X(
I am gonna need a new d@mn neck from shakin my head so much at the current "staff".... L-)

You know, it is just as bad for all of the younger ones who are losing their homes because they lost their jobs, etc. Just another punch in the gut, period. :ymsick:

FYI. There is a bunch of crap in there that has nothing to do with health care. You can thank Pelosi, Reed and Obama for it. It is another way to screw us out of our money. They are all crooked bastards!

Snopes anyone?

No, not a sales tax, and never going to apply to 99.9% of us.

I notice your completely bogus cut and paste never mentions it doesn't even kick in till you get over the capital gains thresholds on property sales, and only applies to high income individuals.

Which is more credible Snopes or GOP.gov? Both seem to have their alliances.

Notice GOP.gov does not dispute the facts presented by snopes, they just choose to not mention details. This is a tax on the capital gains of property sales for high income earners.
If you earn over $250K a year, and are selling a property that you are making a $500K PROFIT on, this applies to you. Us ordinary average folks don't have to worry about this. :(

The GOP site linked above doesn't mention that, and sure as heck doesn't include the bogus numbers listed in the email designed to get all the obama haters riled up.

It's the same game both ways. Both sides try to make it sound like you will get the benefits of their plan, and someone else will pay for it, but in reality, your are most likely getting screwed either way. I make too much money to get the gov't handouts to the poor the dems are always pushing for, and don't make enough to be worried about the taxes on the rich the gop seem to think are the problem.
Both say someone else will be paying for it, but in reality, no matter which side gets their way, I'll be paying more. X(

Yep, I just don't like the way the GOP site presented it. It leads people astray and finally people will figure this out and sway the other way which I feel is worse. If they would just focus on what really matters they would do well..

...no wait NEITHER side gives a F about any of us.

I wouldn't put the blame on the GOP too much for this one. Sure, the web site that is linked is theirs, but I bet the email that is presenting these "facts" was just some $h1t stirrer that wanted to try to piss some people off. Remember all the supposedly NRA backed emails like this when Obama was being elected? They drew over the top conclusions from Obama quotes taken out of context from things he said 20 years ago. After talking to a few gun dealers, I'm fairly certain they were responsible for the ads as it quadrupled their business that year. Yet here we are four years later, and Obama hasn't even mentioned a single thing about guns.....

Which is why it's actually more critical to get ALL of Congress out, Senate and House both!!

It's not just the White House as I don't understand how most people think. If you can't see Congress is the bigger problem, all I can ask is to please open your eyes. These complete crooked &*cks in the House and Senate are whats ruining this country.

Yep, they all need to go. But in line behind them are more just like them. :( A average guy that would care for the country does not have a clean enough closet or a crew to wipe up the dirt for him to be able to run.

I just can't bring myself to vote for someone just because they are the lesser of two evils. Some times you have to dig deep down on the list of candidates to find one you can support. I know that most consider it wasting your vote, but I think so long as the two parties know they will never have to face a serious challenge from a third party due to most people voting for the lesser of the two evils they present, there will never be a change in the way things are going.
Of course, that means I have never voted for the winner yet...... 8-}

I admit I voted for Gatewood for KY Gov and I guess wasted my vote but there was not really a lesser of the other two evils. I think the Presidential election there is a lesser and I need my vote to count.

I have also voted for Gatewood. If you live in KY, no worries about how we will vote in the presidential race. Romney is a lock. I will also continue to vote against McConnell as long as he runs. Don't like how Chandler has performed either. :-\ :-\

I have only once, Slick Willy in 1996. I can't bring myself to vote for the current crook in office, and I would NEVER vote for someone so tied to a Religion either. SO I guess it will be a wasted vote, I'll likely write in Bill Clinton again.

he should have just fessed up and said, "I'm a normal man and just got caught". ;)
