Letter to my Congressman

Dear Mr. Austria,
I guess as you are my representative in Congress,I need to vent on you.
It is my understanding that Social Security beneficeries will see NO cost of living increase for the next two (2) years. This is due to the "cost of living" 'index' being lower. Does this same index NOT apply to YOU ALL up on the hill?
The average benefit (from what I read) is $1155 dollars PER MONTH!! Yet you guys in Congress with your FAT salaries vote yourselves in a RAISE that goes into effect as of January 1. Hmmmm, makes one wonder!!
Well, this isn't going by the wayside, and I talk allot. I have older friends on SS,and family from here to California. Our gov just isn't "for the people" anymore! IMO, things up there need a drastic change!
Sincerely, Jim Sloat
