Pet Friendly Cabins, Hotels, Motels at Lake Cumberland

Post by E_ »

Here is a list of Pet Friendly Places to stay on the lake.

http://camplinsretreat.com/ - VERY friendly man has a few cabins for rent. Have stayed here a few times and has always been a good experience. Fall Creek would be the ramp for this cabin and is right around the bend from Conley.

http://www.goldenpondresort.com/ - Never stayed there but the owner of Camplins referred me to them since he was booked. They are just up the road from Camplin.

Lost Lodge - http://lostlodge.com/lake-cumberland-rental-cabins - Never stayed there but near Somerset and has a private dock

http://www.sackettslakebluffcabins.com/ - Between Leesford and Nancy KY. Have stayed here once or twice and the cabins were nice and roomy.

http://www.griderhillmarina.com/lodging.html - South West end of Lake Cumberland. Got confirmation via their facebook page they are pet friendly 5-3-2011
7-6-2011 - was told only Lodge rooms 9 & 10 are pet friendly. At of writing this I am not sure what rooms those are as they website is not layed out by room number. The pet fee is $65. Don't know if that is per stay or night.

http://www.indianhillsresort.com/html/c ... ntals.html - Aka Alligator II. Never stayed here but they have per friendly cabins however their pet fee is a bit excessive @ $100 Update 6-10-2011, Stayed here over memorial day 2011 weekend and was in Cabin 7. Cabin was fine but just understand that you will not have privacy in the cabin as at night if you are in one room you can see light from the other rooms at the wall edges and from the ceiling in spots. Not a big deal but that means sound travels easy however still a nice cabin. The cabins are in a row on top of the hill from the marina before turning the sharp curve and heading down the spiral down the hill. You have to park your boat trailer in the KOA lot a ways up the road but not a big deal if staying a weekend or so since they give you a slip with the cabin thus you don't have to pull your boat out every night. ;)

http://www.vrbo.com/40333 - This site has some nice cabins that many are pet friendly
http://www.vrbo.com/183787
http://www.vrbo.com/92568 - Rose Garden Cottage~ Peaceful Lake Community ~ Boat Ramp Nancy, Kentucky Vacation Rental by Owner Listing 92568

The Alligator I cabins allowed pets when it was ALligator I marina and then Cave Springs, not sure who owns that now and what their rules are... http://cavespringsmarina.com/cottages.htm if they knew your pet the would waive the pet fee.

While it was raining I took some pics of Camplin's Cumberland Retreat yesterday. Remember it was rainy so things might look a little better with sunshine. I don't get any special deals at Camplin I just enjoy staying there and the fact that the owner seems to be a good guy. Plus he allows pets which is a plus for us. When we stay here Fall Creek is normally the ramp we use but it is also just around the corner from Conley as well.

A Frame on right. bottom floor is his office etc. Top has two levels one floor with back deck, kitchen, table, large Den, bedroom and bathroom, has a loft with 3 or 4 beds as well. Middle is a shelter with tables, far left is the side of the dulplex unit that can be combined.

I have the east end pretty well nailed down on who allows pets etc.
I have several cabins around Conley that do...
I have some on Alligator Creek...
...But what about the WEST WEST end. Around Jamestown etc.? For our next trip down I was looking for something around Jamestown that would allow 1 clean pet with 1 adult and me, and 1 infant. Would need to have room for parking truck and boat trailer. If you have one available message me for exact dates (don't like to post that until after the fact).

If you know of some post them here!
Badluck knows of one but it is a little more remote than I would like as far as distance to launch ramps and Marinas.
I have already looked at several in and around Jamestown but they do not allow pets.

Such as :
Jamestown Court Motel
Timber Pointe Resort Motel & Lodge - Lake Cumberland
Jamestown Resort & Marina
Springs Motel

ARgh... :(

Hey E, We allow pets at our cabin on Caney Creek. We do require a pet fee though. this helps cover the extra cleaning required. We are right above the Caney Creek public launch ramp and have plenty of room for your truck and boat. visit our website at www.cabin-on-cumberland.com.

Thanks Coyne! For some reason I was thinking you didn't. I am guessing your pet fee is on a per pet basis and someone would just need to call you to estabilish that.
