Somewhere I read where someone was getting US Made lightbulbs by buying generic ones... Well the other day in (good ole Walmart :ymtongue: ) a store I looked at EVERY flourecent bulb and ALL of them were made in China. The regular incadecent bulbs were made in Mexico and China. Anyway I did find a site ( http://www.lightbulbsdirect.com/page/001/CTGY/USAIncan )that sells the incadecent bulbs that are made in America but if anyone finds any flourecent ones send us a LINk!

I'll keep looking... :ymsigh:

Wonder if the "parts" were made here..... If they were "assembled" here, they can be "made in U.S.A." :(

I guess assembly is better than nothing, as long as legal citizens are doing the assembly.... :-$ [-(

Hello Buyer,

The LED chips we uses in 80% of our bulbs are made in North Carolina and the engineering for 50% of our products are done in San Diego, but the assembly and packing is done over seas. If you have any other questions about our LED product line you can call me on my direct line at: 760-846-6338.

:ymapplause: :ymapplause: Great work E, like you say, I guess something is better than nothing. It still boggles my mind that they can get it done cheaper overseas after shipping, loss, breakage, etc.... but they wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't :(

The one I ordered from Amazon.com for 44.94 (now 39.95) " http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026C ... ss_product " came in in January and it was the clear lens bulb. WOW was it bright. I tried it on the vanity in my bathroom and it was too much direct light. It is now in my garage and is doing a wonderful job and has burned constant since installing. (well constant until tonight when I turned it off to take a pic of it)

CRAP! Just found out after more research that the ones from
http://www.lightexports.com/servlet/the ... ite/Detail that were $12 are NOT made in America. THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA! I will not be getting any more from them! ALSO THEY ARE JUNK! They put off less light than a birthday candle.

Topic: LED Bulbs made in the USAReply to Topic.Displaying all 2 posts..

E Hillman Are any of your LEDs made in the US? I have found a couple out there that are made here but there are not very many (that I have found) out there or at least that state they are. Many don't say where any of their products are made...

My main search is to find LEDs made in the US so that not only am I reducing costs, pollution, etc. but so I am supporting our country as well.

Polar-Ray.com LED Lighting E, my sincere apologies for the long delay in responding to your post. You are correct that most of the LED products currently being sold are made overseas. Cree is the one company that we carry who is currently moving most of their production back to the United States and they are also one of the preeminent companies in the LED lighting market. Not only do they manufacture their own products but they also are a major supplier of LED chips to OEM manufacturers. There LR and CR series of downlights are truly outstanding and I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the market for that type of product. Take care. Polar-Ray
