USA made jeans

Post by E_ »

Well its time for me to buy some new jeans and as I used to be able to count on Carhart to be US made Jeans now many of them are made elsewhere. For many years a large number were made in KY.

Today I have began my search for quality USA jeans that don't make you look like a tool.

I did a search for Jeans made in the USA and found the following:
http://www.patriotmade.com/catalog/inde ... ddfbeab36b

http://www.stillmadeinusa.com/jeans.htm#UpScale <--They link you to US made
Cool, I did find that this site will link you to the Carhart jeans that are only made in the USA
http://www.allamericanclothing.com/products/UB170.html
UPDATE: Carhartt will NOT be closing the USA plants, but they are still discontinuing their Made in USA apparel program. Carhartt will still produce some goods in the USA, however, they will not keep the USA inventory separate from the foreign inventory. Once the inventories are mixed Carhartt cannot guarantee you will receive USA made items when ordering from them. SO we will continue to sell their USA Made items as long as there is stock available. You may want to hurry and buy some USA made Carhartt while you can!

As we will only sell USA Made products and Carhartt can't guarantee USA Made, we will be discontinuing the Carhartt line of apparel when the USA Made inventory runs out. We will not support Carhartt's foreign made products.

Ok the order came in last week.

Here are the results.

The American Jean Company Jeans in my opinion fit and feel better than the carharts however they are nice too.

The Khaki Pants seem to be just as good as the Van Heusen ones I get and I love the cell phone pocket. We will see how they hold up over time.

The sock I got are GREAT, they feel kinda cushiony on the bottom and that is always nice. Good thick sturdy socks that say they are designed to stay up (they have so far)

The Polo shirt was nothing special but I will start wearing it to work and see how it goes.

I bought a bag of Brach's candy corn yesterday, only to read - made in Mexico on the bag. How sad.

FYI, still wearing and ordering clothes from http://www.allamericanclothing.com/ they are good quality and the prices are reasonable. In November they came out with a designer jean that was a little over what I like to pay but I bought some anyway. They are very comfortable and for once a pair of jeans that the wife thinks looks good... lol

Anyway you BUCKEYES ESPECIALLY need to support companies like this... All American Clothing is in Ohio and only gets supplies and materials from the USA.
