Crappy Food

Post by E_ »

LOL,

This is what I get for getting fast food...

The other night on the way home Julie asked me if I wanted her to pick
me something up and I said sure.

SHe got me a slice of pizza from Fazoli's. I never go there. Now I remember
why.

LOL. I'd call that a 2/3 slice... And it sucked to boot. L-) Anyway we live
several miles from town so going back about it was not really an option.

Then the other day while Avery and I were out and about I thought
"Hmm I'll pick something up that will last a couple of days"
So since I was at my parents house I went to the KFC/Taco bell in Cynthiana
since it was closer than Georgetown to go there and back home. I really
knew better than to go there as I have only been 5 times in the past 4 years
because EVERY time since maybe 2003 it has been CRAP. Well that day was no different:

This is just a pic of the hard taco. I got the Two Chalupa combo that comes with
2 Chalupas and a taco and a drink. I also got a 8pc bucket of Chicken. First
the 2 chalupas were HORRIBLE. Not sure what kind of a shell they were made
of but it was nothing like the shells at ANY taco bell I have been to and I go
to the one on Nicholasville road in Lex once a month. They were doughy and
fell apart. I had that stuff every where. Normally you can eat a Chalupa and
drive down the road with no issue. In this case I was at home with a plate and
still got crap every where. Then I got to the hard taco and thought it looked a bit
flat. Well I opened it to put some hot sauce in it and that is when I finally broke out
the cell phone cam. lol It only had a lil meat in it with what seemed to be some
flakes of lettuce and what I hope was melted cheese (the red is the hot sauce). From
what I can tell it did not have any where near the proper fillings and must have sat
under the heat lamp for hours as the hard taco was soft at the bottom.

Then Julie got home and I told her there was chicken in the fridge. She opened the
bucket and instantly knew I had been to the one in Cynthiana. It too looked like it
had been under a heat lamp all day. She would not touch it but Wally and I ate it
after making sure it was bombarded with Microwaves. There was a $18 waste... I
really can't believe that a KFC or Taco bell could be that bad in a state of its corporate
headquarters. Oh Wait Fazolis headquarters is in Lexington, KY as well. Two strikes...
In times like this customer service and quality should be job #1.

I did e-mail KFC and Taco Bell but have not heard anything. I think I'll send Fazolis a
pic of their partial slice as well... lol I mainly created this thread just so I could send
them a pic in a link since you never can add an attachment to their contact forms... :P
It is just frustrating when you live in the middle of no where and get home to find poor
quality. Tonight I am just cooking at home. [-(

Anyway. Do you have any recent crappy food stories? lol
Buy American, the job you save just might be your own.
