21st Annual Lake Cumberland Cleanup!
Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010
9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. EDT. 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. CDT
We invite you to roll up your sleeves, lace up your boots, and put on your work gloves to take part in the 19th Annual Lake Cumberland Cleanup. The cleanup is held at locations all over the lake in an effort to remove trash, tires, appliances, etc., from the shoreline of Lake Cumberland. Gloves and garbage bags will be furnished. Participants are asked to check-in on the day of the clean up at one of the following locations:
Eastern Time Zone – 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
General Burnside Island State Park
Waitsboro Recreation Area
Conley Bottom Resort
Central Time Zone – 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Lake Cumberland State Park (Launching Ramp)
Grider Hill Dock
Cave Springs Marina (Jabez Area – Island Ramp Road)
Appreciation Picnic
Free Food & Prizes
3:00 P.M. EDT. – Burnside Island State Park
3:00 P.M. CDT. - Lake Cumberland State Park
Cash Prizes
Awarded for the most garbage collected are:
1st Place $250.00
2nd Place $200.00
3rd Place $150.00
4th Place $100.00
Small Group 1st ≤ 15 $50.00
Small Group 2nd ≤ 15 $25.00
Most tires collected $50.00
Most unusual item found $25.00
