Want to win a luxurious houseboat vacation on scenic Lake Cumberland?
Would you like to support young people in your community who receive college scholarship and leadership opportunities through the annual Rogers Scholars summer youth leadership program?
With The Center for Rural Development’s Houseboat Vacation fundraising campaign, you can do both!
Tickets are now on sale for a chance to win a Lake Cumberland houseboat vacation—valued at up to $3,500 plus a $200 fuel allowance—as the grand prize in a regional fundraising campaign benefitting the region’s next generation of future leaders and entrepreneurs.
Each $5 ticket sold through the Houseboat Vacation campaign will support The Center’s flagship youth program, Rogers Scholars. The program gives rising high school juniors an opportunity to build their leadership skills and get access to exclusive scholarship opportunities from 16 colleges and universities.
Tickets for the Houseboat Vacation may be purchased by calling The Center at 606-677-6000, emailing youth@centertech.com, or stopping by The Center, located at 2292 South U.S. 27 (at Traffic Light 15) in Somerset, Ky., from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This is the fourth year The Center and the Rogers Scholars program have partnered with Conley Bottom Resort Marina in Monticello to offer a houseboat vacation on Lake Cumberland, one of the nation’s largest manmade lakes and top tourist destinations in Southern Kentucky.
Rogers Scholars is provided free of charge to participating students within The Center’s 42-county primary service area in Southern and Eastern Kentucky. It is supported solely through financial contributions, fundraising events, and program supporters.
“We challenge students to build their leadership skills and reach their full potential as the region’s next generation of business and entrepreneurial leaders. By buying a chance in this fundraiser, you can be a part of The Center’s efforts to help these young people fulfill their dreams and plan for a successful future.”
