Laurel Lake Drowning Victim Identified
Officials have identified the man who drowned in Laurel Lake Sunday evening.
Officials say Robert Young, 26, went missing while swimming with a friend around 7 p.m.
"Evidently, him and maybe a friend, were swimming out to the buoy, which is probably a couple hundred feet, but he just didn't make it back," Whitley County Emergency Management director Danny Moses said.
Crews pulled Young's body from the lake around 1 a.m. Monday.

Lebanon Teen Drowns During Church Event
A church event at Green River Lake ended in tragedy Sunday afternoon.
Taylor County Emergency Management tells LEX 18 that 19-year-old Jose Zambrano was at the lake with Abundant of Life Church for a cook out and baptism. Officials say the teen, who is from Lebanon, jumped in the water to get children's floaties that fell into the lake, but he drowned.
Zambrano's father tried to rescue him, but wasn't able to get to him.
Several departments arrived at the lake to help recover Zambrano's body.
