- At least five barns were damaged
Wednesday at Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, when a
powerful storm that spawned tornadoes blew through Louisville, and
horses were running loose, officials said.
Officials have no immediate reports of injuries to humans or
horses.

No reports of any injuries. Several tornado touchdowns throughout the city. Churchill Downs and Central Avenue near Papa John's Cardinal stadium have damage. Approximately 40 light pools down and several roofs blown off buildings.

Wow, all of that out of what I would have thought was just a lil squal line. Did you notice when it got to Louisville it just seemed to sit there for a bit? shew... Glad to hear reports seem to say everyone ok.

I decided to sit it out at the cabin ;-) But the family all weathered the storm okay back in the ville.

That's about the same thing that happened here a few weeks back... I have been on this earth a long time and I will tell you I have never seen or heard golf ball size hail. It sounded like the earth was coming to an end! Between the house and cars, the noise was deafening. I cannot imagine what it is like in a war zone...

The first warning only lasted about 5 minutes and the weathermen were like scratching their heads because they were not seeing anything severe about the storms. Then everything intensified and the damage occured. The storms continued to fire up in the same areas.

4 tornados confirmed in Louisville

In addition to the EF2 tornado in the Chuirchill Downs area there have been 3 tornadoes confirmed in Jeffersontown. 2 EF1's and 1 EF2.
