Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.

Harmon Creek list of what to bring

Post by E_ »

Ok, lets help Stone out and also create a list for anyone else that returns. We have cruiser people, runabout people and some very experinced houseboat people. NOT to forget some of the biggest Harmon creek return crew there is..

Lets base this list on every "5" people.

Please everyone reply to this with the quote feature and delete everything BUT the list and add on.. Also Make comments at the end of an amount if you disagree with someone. If a blank is left and you have the answer remove the blank and fill it in.

So... For every 5 people make sure you have this PER DAY:

1) 6 Life jackets
2) ______ small bags of ice
3) ______ large bags of ice
4) 24 bottles of Gatorade or Powerade
5) 1 LARGE trash bag
6) ____ ounces of beer (can is 12 oz, Keg=1920 oz, etc) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keg http://www.essortment.com/food/manybeerskegu_twzf.htm http://www.kegbooty.com/beers_in_a_keg.htm
7) 1 good flashlight in a known spot
8) 1 good fire extinguisher
9) 1 box of individual packs of chips http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... d=10790826 Image
10) unopened first aid kit (wal-mart)
11) Flare Gun (does not increase for more people)
12) LOTs of music and a way to play it
13) cell phone and way to charge it
14) sandwiches or meat and bread ( I like getting the Arbys regular roast beef maybe 8 or so per 5)
15) Make sure your rental will come with enough rope, if not bring some ____ feet of ____ size.
16) Cool props for the party like a funny banner etc.
17) 1 case of bottled water
18) coke - if you mix drinks etc.
19) SUNSCREEN - 1 aerosol can per day or 1 tube per 2 days.
20)
21)
22)
23)
24)
25)

Things you need to make sure you do and don't do

1) Don't salute the water patrol with your beer
2) Don't shoot water guns and launch balloons at boats you don't know
3) Do bring beads (see above list)
4) Don't blast your stereo where it distorts and annoys everyone.
5) Do remember the drunker you get the more you need your Life Jacket
6) Arrive early and tie up GOOD while you can...
7)
8)
9)
10)

1) 6 Life jackets (surely E doesnt think everyone will loose 5 life jackets...6 total should work and should be included on your rental)
2) ______ small bags of ice
3) 10 large bags of ice
4) 24 bottles of Gatorade or Powerade (no way you need this much per person per day, after all, you have beer)
5) 1 LARGE trash bag (a box of large trash bags, you can always take extra's home)
6) ____ ounces of beer (can is 12 oz, Keg=1920 oz, etc) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keg http://www.essortment.com/food/manybeerskegu_twzf.htm http://www.kegbooty.com/beers_in_a_keg.htm

16) Cool props for the party like a funny banner etc.
17) 1 case of bottled water (again, you have beer, maybe a case to share for the wknd ;) )
18) coke - if you mix drinks etc. ( I prefer Makers with diet coke..what are you thinkin E?)
19) SUNSCREEN - 1 aerosol can per day or 1 tube per 2 days.
20) Digitial camera so you can relive the wknd and delete what you dont want to share
21) Jello shots or some type of shooters just because
22) rafts or tubes for swimming
23) disposal cups
24) hot dogs/burgers for the grill if your houseboat comes with a grill...steak or chicken always sounds good but when you are partying who wants to take the time to cook a real meal?
25) cheese and crackers....great for when the sugar level drops from too many libations and being in the sun
26) Reynolds wrap for the grill, paper plates so you dont have to do dishes, paper towels to clean up all the spills, dish soap in case you run out of plastic cups and have to wash them for reuse for the beer

Things you need to make sure you do and don't do

1) Don't salute the water patrol with your beer
2) Don't shoot water guns and launch balloons at boats you don't know (please dont launch water balloons, they are hazardous to the wildlife, not the 2 legged ones at Harmon this wknd but the furry, scaley and feathered ones)
3) Do bring beads (see above list)
4) Don't blast your stereo where it distorts and annoys everyone.
5) Do remember the drunker you get the more you need your Life Jacket.... and the better you can sing and dance
6) Arrive early and tie up GOOD while you can...
7) Dont overpack...a few tshirts and pairs of shorts should be sufficient
8)
9)
10)

Hope you all have a great time.
