Headed to the lake this weekend. Where is Clifty Creek?
Where are the decent party coves at? This is only our second year of
going to cumberland. Is it true 76 Falls is now dried up?

Can't help you with Clifty, but yes 76 is dried up. Harmon Creek is the new party spot. It's much wider with deeper, cleaner water. It's on the main lake close to Difficulty Creek. It gets pretty wild on holiday weekends but it has not been a real huge crowd on regular weekends. Still, it seems to be where a lot of rentals with partiers end up. Poker run will draw the biggest crowd so if you want to see some chaos, plan on being there then. :D
You might start a new thread with your question about Clifty. Folks might not see it here.

___ is one of our master resident Party Covers so I will leave most for him to elaborate on.

Here is the short version until he replies...
The Party is in Harmon Creek (___ I'm sure will have details and directions)
76 Falls is pretty darn low. The falls still slow but its a lot longer drop down and now its just a large creek instead of a cove.

Where is Clifty Creek?
<-- The clifty you are asking about is the one near Leesford. It is the more calm east end Party Cove. If heading north on Fishing Creek it is the next cove after Needle point on your left. (I think)

If heading South it is the first BIG cove on your right after leaving Leesford Marina.

GPS - 37.023774,-84.7065 If you want to see it go to http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=h&lat=37.023 ... 71&zoom=14 and then enter 37.023774,-84.7065 as the destination address. Then turn the hybrid mode on and zoom down to the destination.

Very good stuff. Very smooth. But since I don't make it to Mexico on a regular basis, I must stick with what we have access to. :D
