Debris Everywhere

Post by Pop-O »

Took the toon out for a cruise today. Had to stand and drive the whole way. Went back Greasy to the waterfall. Don't think I'll be out for a while till this mess is on the bank. A toon passed us running WFO and hit something big about a 1/2 mile from where we were floating. He was able to keep going but at idle. Same for a bass boat, he hit something quite far away from us and he also decided to go slow for the rest of his trip. Plenty of impeller cloggers floating also.

Marina/Ramp: Currently mostly out of Jamestown but spend a lot of time at the other Marinas.

Pre2012-Conley Bottom Mostly, Waitsboro, Alligator I&II ramps, Leesford, Pulaski County Park (when it has water), Grider, State Dock (via boat), and Jamestown are a few places you might find me.

OMG! :-( Hopefully they will get through this rain and lower the lake just right where it puts that stuff back on the shore (giving us one more chance for someone to go chop it up or burn it.) I know from Camp Earl Wallce East every cove or swag I anchored at had debris on the shore no more than 20' up and we have passed that 20'...

Oh well, won't keep me away. But it will cause me to pay attention and find a closer cove to anchor in..

In some places the debris field was so thick that weeds-grass was starting to grow on it.
