The ramp is in great shape with no debris.
The sad news is...NO docks!!!
Their was one 20 footer tied off at the bank when we got there. Worked okay. When we came in on Monday afternoon it was on the bank with the water let down. Couldn't even use it

Even worse news, (form a reliable source) there will be no docks there unless the COE or county puts them in and maintains them.

At this point, I guess we need to start complaining to the COE about not having docks there. Sorry for the bad news!

That IS bad news. What a waste of a good ramp with ample parking.

This sucks! What happened to the owners of Cave Springs having a few slips for their old Alligator I cabins?

Also what happened to the county putting a dock there and Cave Springs running it?

Just a transient slip dock there would pull some money and tourism into the county... Geez.

Last I read, the county backed out!

Also heard, COE wouldn't allow Cave Springs to operate docks in 'both' places.
However, they could leave them there, and maintain them 'for free'. (for a year)

Which I guess the time was up on...

Don't look for the owners of Cave Springs to put a courtesy dock at the old site. That would be helping Gator II out and that's their competitor. That is one of the reasons Gator I started charging a launch fee. Many of Gator I dock renters would launch their runabout there rather than use the road down to Gator II.

Thats true but they also have Cabins on the hill that are great for some of us trailer boaters that need a place to stay. I would think they would want enough slips to cover the Cabins.

Anyone use the ramp yet this year? How does it look?
We will be down this coming weekend and may get the boats wet.

Any updated info about the area? Especially with the water coming up!

I know the new restrooms are now finished.

Nervous Wreck, there has been a LOT of debris in the Alligator areas over the past 2 weeks but... this past weekend I was down and from the shore Alligator I water area appeared pretty clear. I didn't go out on the boat thou. The ramp area had some debris on it so be careful launching.

Shore Nuff, the cabins on the hill have been sold to private individuals. Luckily I got one of them before they all sold.

Not since buying the new boat. Have driven down a few times but no launch since 2012.
